CONTEXT

Located in an elegant residential building in Magenta (Milan), this three-room apartment enjoys a quiet setting. Originally featuring a traditional layout with a separate kitchen and living room, the space had great potential to be transformed into a modern and functional environment tailored to the client's needs. The renovation aimed to optimize the interiors, improve spatial flow, and give the home a distinctive character, balancing elegance and comfort.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project involved redefining the interior layout to enhance the apartment's livability. The main transformation focused on eliminating the separation between the kitchen and living room, creating a spacious open-plan area that maximizes natural light and fluidity. This solution has made the space more dynamic and welcoming, perfect for both everyday life and social gatherings.

The kitchen was designed with neutral tones that blend seamlessly with the white walls of the living area, while pop-art-inspired furnishings add a vibrant and contemporary touch. The minimalist design and clean lines enhance the perception of space while maintaining a strong aesthetic impact.

For the sleeping area, the intervention aimed at maximizing space and comfort. The master bedroom has been optimized with custom furniture, intelligent storage solutions, and carefully planned lighting to create a refined and relaxing atmosphere. The second bedroom was designed to be versatile, functioning as both a study and a guest room.

The bathroom underwent a complete renovation to combine aesthetics and functionality. A spacious walk-in shower with a transparent glass panel, a custom vanity, and Gré stone-effect finishes bring elegance and modernity. Decorative niches and strategically placed lighting further enrich the space, striking the perfect balance between practicality and style.

INTERIORS

The interior color scheme is refined and neutral, featuring shades ranging from white to warm grays, with vibrant accents in furnishings and decorative elements. The living room has been enriched with essential-design furniture, blending natural materials with graphic and colorful details inspired by contemporary art.

The surfaces have been carefully selected to create a harmonious and welcoming atmosphere: the SPC wood-effect flooring in the living area ensures continuity and warmth, while parquet flooring in the bedrooms enhances the cozy and sophisticated ambiance. Lighting plays a crucial role, with recessed lights emphasizing functional areas and decorative lamps creating focal points throughout the space.

MATERIALS AND FINISHES

The project prioritized high-quality materials and meticulously curated finishes. The SPC wood-effect flooring in the living area offers durability and practicality, while the parquet in the bedrooms provides a sense of warmth and refinement. Gré stone-effect finishes in the bathroom add a sophisticated touch.

Custom-made furniture crafted from fine wood and matte lacquers seamlessly combines aesthetics and functionality. Reflective surfaces and metallic details in the furnishings add a contemporary feel, creating an interplay of contrasts that enhances the overall design.
